Pattern Design

Rastgar Engineering Company's Pattern Design Department combines advanced engineering expertise with industry-leading design software to develop production-ready tooling for high-performance ductile iron castings. From OEM drawings to complete manufacturing solutions, every pattern is engineered to achieve optimum casting quality, dimensional accuracy, and process efficiency.

The development process begins with AutoCAD for detailed engineering drawings, followed by SOLIDWORKS for parametric 3D modeling and product design. Pattern and tooling development are carried out using Delcam PowerSHAPE, while Delcam PowerMILL is utilized to generate optimized CAM strategies for precision machining of tooling components. Prior to manufacturing, casting designs are validated using Altair Inspire Cast to optimize mold filling, solidification behavior, feeding systems, and defect prevention. High-quality product and tooling visualizations are created using Autodesk 3ds Max, supporting design reviews, technical presentations, and customer approvals.

By integrating advanced CAD, CAM, simulation, and visualization technologies within a fully integrated engineering workflow, Rastgar ensures that every pattern is optimized for manufacturability, process stability, and repeatable production. This digital engineering capability reduces development time, minimizes tooling revisions, improves casting yield, and supports the consistent production of components that meet stringent OEM quality standards.
