Ductile Iron Foundry

Rastgar’s foundry is the foundation of its wheel-end manufacturing, where casting quality defines the performance of every component. The foundry operates with full induction melting using medium-frequency induction furnaces from INDUCTROTHERM, providing precise control over metal composition and temperature. At the core of the operation is the HWS Automatic Molding Lines, supported by a sand preparation and reclamation system from EIRICH, Germany. Together, these systems deliver highly repeatable green sand molding, consistent dimensional accuracy, stable machining allowances, and efficient sand recovery.

Molten iron poured under metallurgical control on the Rastgar foundry line

Grey and ductile iron are melted and poured under tight metallurgical control, so the material reaching the machine shop is sound in exactly the areas that carry load in service.

Control points on every heat:

  • Heat-level chemistry control
  • Spectrometer analysis
  • Nodularity verification
  • Batch traceability
